We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our rapidly growing Team.
DevOps team is on the hunt for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our growing Infrastructure division. We’re seeking a professional who will be responsible for crafting, deploying, and sustaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring it is sturdy, scalable, and secure with the use of cutting-edge technology. This position involves joining a 24/7 on-call rotation and adhering to the CIS benchmarks to fortify our infrastructure’s security. The ideal candidate will boast a strong background in automating processes and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for streamlined infrastructure management. A track record of developing automation tools and a deep understanding of services in a production environment are essential, as they will support our mission to expand, automate, and enhance our operational scope.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in Infrastructure Engineering or Systems Administration.
- Strong grasp of networking principles and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Azure DevOps.
- Commitment to security best practices, following CIS guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Terraform).
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux systems.
- Familiarity with caching technologies (Redis, Memcached).
- Background in networking, security, monitoring, and anomaly detection systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and maintaining high-availability systems.
- Documenting processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
- Participation in on-call rotation.
- Infrastructure: Azure, AWS
- Storage: MS SQL Server, Redis, Memcached
- Build/Deployment: GitHub, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Octopus, Fastlane.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions that are secure, resilient, and scalable.
- Administer server, network, and cloud environments to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Automate routine tasks using Ansible for configuration management to enhance system consistency and reliability.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and provision infrastructure through code for faster and repeatable deployments.
- Build and maintain security-focused infrastructure in line with CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks and best practices.
- Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and maintain system health.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and data backup strategies to minimize data loss and downtime.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement comprehensive security measures and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Document all infrastructure changes, configurations, and processes for clarity and compliance.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to colleagues and different departments across the organization regarding the foundational platform infrastructure.
- Keep abreast of innovative technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and strategic infrastructure improvements.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency support and issue resolution via Pager Duty.
